Description
Since Brian Jacques never referred explicitly to the Long Patrol in the time of Matthias, Mattimeo and Orlando the Axe, these hares are fan-characters who I created to "fill the blanks"
Among the finest in Lord Orlando's fighting force are a small team of elites known as the Special Arms Regiment (SAR for short)
However, Lieutenant Barkridge is the true wild card in the Long Patrol. (Because every army has its Leeroy Jenkins)
A fierce and sword-crazy warrior, rumoured to suffer Bloodwrath in the heat of battle, Barkridge is often referred to as a "loose catapult" (bear in mind, cannons don't exist in the permanently-medieval world of Redwall, so catapults are kind of the next best thing)
It's this reckless nature that kept Barkridge from being considered for the elite Special Arms Regiment, but his ferocity is usually kept in reserve as the leader of the Long Patrol's relief force.
Redwall, Salamandastron and the Long Patrol were the brainchild of Brian Jacques.
These hares are my own fan-characters.
