Alex and Dan Swordfight

Heya Dan, instead of leaving you a simple comment for this wonderful artistic picture. I figured I'd go more in depth while I still have a DA subscription here.

Vision) Immediately that pops into my view is that Dan seems to float away while Alex thrusts his sword towards Dan's general direction while his light sabre seems to throw the sword off in a different direction. While Alex seems to be in the middle of a growl, Dan seems to take this in a jolly fashion as he seems to be enjoying this little sparring session. Clearly this shows who is a better sword fighter out of these two.

Originality) Drawing scenes like this isn't out of the ordinary, it's existed in the medieval times in fighting codex's of various weapons. Swords, Sabres, Rapiers, etc, I could go on forever. Just the posing alone looks like Dan's pulling of an expert dodge here.

Technique) Even after seeing the initial sketch, I could see that your artistic prowess is gonna shine through in this picture and for a simple picture, it looks great =3 I could see the kilt flow nicely! Although the thing that makes it have a lower score then all 5 stars is that the wing membranes on Alex should be flowing too as if it was made out of silk. Especially if Alex is thrusting his sword, it should react in the opposite direction or stretch too. But that's ok.

Overall Impact) 4/1.5 stars out of 5! I think Alex here has a lot to learn before he could effectively go toe-to-toe with someone as skilled in the sabre business here. I just hope nobody loses a finger or poke out an eye or something in this spar.
