Where have I been?

I've been really sketchy with my journals of late, and it seems I've been really sparse with artwork in general here.
It's not that I'm lazy or anything (although that might factor in somewhere too) - I've just been rather busy... even despite being unemployed again. My brief contract at Dad's workplace in June was only for six weeks while the roll-out of a large batch of new Windows 8 laptops was in progress - and I was a great help there, but there was nothing further after that contract ended.

Since then, I've been kept largely occupied with a Flash cartoon that I'm working on for a friend...
Even now, it's still WIP and progress has been, though it won't now be completed until month at the earliest, I reckon.
Also, I've been trying to work in tandem on my storybook about Boaz the harvest mouse, which being a possibly-marketable idea is something that would hopefully be published outside of deviantART.
Seriously, though, I ought to try and start drawing again. Besides the odd sporadic artwork, I don't seem to have submitted a great deal lately.

Finally, I ought to mention a more immediate event that's happening in our otherwise everyday lives here.
For the first time in six years, we're going away for a week on a family holiday!
As from Friday, we'll be staying at a hired farm chalet/cottage in Devon.
