.: Life Update :.

Been a quiet time for journals yet again, and that's partly because I've been wondering what I can say about my personal life lately... this being the public domain and such. I've been all right in myself lately, but I'm advised not to talk about this too freely, and then only with close trusted friends.
There have been results on the medical tests, and my case is pretty mild, but more than that I don't want to say here.

.: Getting back to stuff :.

I really wanted to write this journal to talk about recent project plans.

Having finished recent Flash projects, such as Right Said Fred and the Prince of Persia movie-spoof (viewable on YouTube, since it's a sprite-based work), I have been seeing my way clear to working on a series with the Dan Clan - or trying to. I get so easily distracted... if not by distractions of my own making, then it's being called away to do some chore around the house!
But distractions aside, I have a script written out for a short "pilot" type episode - (Rather than get too ambitious with long features right away, I should just do shorts of 5-10 minutes really - much more realistic thinking) - and during pauses, I've even been doing thumbnail-sized storyboards, as well as graphically improving the existing character-models for Danbuster, Frederick and Spencer, as well as rethinking how the eagles' wings are drawn... though Marquila's clan don't actually appear in this short, but maybe in the future...
So I'll come straight to the point and prevaricate some more with my rambling style of communication - and say that the plot for this short basically takes place during an autumn period. Frederick is cheesed off by the leaves falling from the trees making the garden look untidy, and wants help with cleaning it up. But then, during lunch, things take a sudden serious turn by someone sneaking into their house and stealing something very valuable... this eventually leads up to a crazy Benny Hill style chase around town. How will the involved parties resolve these problems? That remains to be seen...

And now, this leads to me having to ask something of something of you. If any of my good friends here is able to help, I still have a few characters for whom I'll need voice-actors. Here's the cast-list (voices needed in bold):

Danbuster: Of course, you all know this guy - my alter-ego in the anthro-world! ;) And yes, naturally I'm doing this voice myself.

Now, about Frederick and Spencer. It had been a concern to me in the past that however much I tried to put on the funny voices, my main trio here all sounded like... me in a funny voice. I really do need different voices, if possible! ^^;
Frederick: A calm and sensible ferret with gruff, broad Northern accent. TomTheFox Already agreed to do Frederick's voice during one of our chats on MSN, so don't worry too much about him. I'll need to ask him how he's getting on, though.
Spencer: A pessimistic and impatient cockney rat with a high-pitched voice. Though I can still do his voice myself, I would appreciate some help here - especially since Frederick's voice will be different too.

Other characters...
Percy: A working-class pigeon, employed as a mail-bird (postal service) - voice already provided by Luke-the-F0x
Cribbs: The cat half of the Cat & Dog odd-jobs team, whom you've seen already in such shorts as "Right Said Fred", cameoing in this cartoon with his friend Fred the Dog. Fred has no lines. He's a working-class with a medium voice.
Manager: The gruff badger-manager in charge of the local Rainsby's superstore, who at one point in the cartoon has to deal with trouble in store caused by Danbuster - voice already provided by Luke-the-F0x
Henry: A nervous medium-height fat hedgehog, something of an impulsive character. His rash actions in this short land him in trouble.

Characters with only "one line"...
Operator: Answering an emergency call on the telephone - I could do this one myself, if required
Old squirrel: A feisty female senior citizen with a killer umbrella-arm. I believe Dream-Of-Serenity is helping me with this one.
Policedog: A local bloodhound on the beat. Appears briefly to answer a citizen-enquiry. Because he's a bloodhound, he has jowls and his voice should have a suitable drawl to it.

If you can help with any of these, please devNote me. It'll be easier to share the particulars of email and such privately.

.: Epilogue :.

I guess that about wraps it up for this journal.

As for myself:
Job searching continues on the same lines - looking for stuff, applying for stuff, but not at this time been offered any sort of stuff.

Other than that - who knows what random art this butterfly-artist will produce in the interim? ;p
