Nuzzling Otters

Heya Danbuster, allow me to give a more in-depth review of this otter way to snuggle your mate here. Especially with these loving otters!

Vision) Right off the bat, I love how vivid the colors you use here to illustrate both Hydrex and Pearl's fur and clothes, yet it's their eyes that strike out the most vivid of the details so Im giving 4 stars on that.

Originality) Ever since these guys went from being more of Sonic Fan characters to a more original, these two underwent a major upgrade and this shows the modernization of these two love otters. Anatomy is also pretty good as Hydrex is just as buff and beefy as you intended.

Technique) What makes the picture pretty vivid is the way you use the colored pencils and markers to color in the line work and I honestly believe you did a pretty good job here, although what saves the score from going into 4 stars is that theres a lot of "ghosting" (I believe it's called) amongst the fur and it feels a bit flat without shading but I guess this is ok...and one more error I spotted was the fact it looks like Hydrex's left arm (which is to our right side as the viewer) seems to be a lot shorter then the other, which makes the anatomy very clunky, but Pearl looks alright... I guess.

Overall Impact) Im giving this picture 3 and a half stars. The picture looks very vivid and pretty well done, but I'd REEEEEALLY pay attention to the anatomy and making sure both halves of the body are equal in proportions, again I'd study the human anatomy if you want to make Hydrex and Pearl beefy and lean, like a mini macho otter here.
