And again, I went with the "Alternate" in its most basic - counterparts for Retsubnad and his followers... in a quite different career path!
Possibly existing in the same Alternate Universe as the AU Dan Clan, this version of Retsubnad apparently chose science instead of magic as his true calling... how alternate can you get?
Professor Cornelius Retz is the counterpart of Retsubnad, only where Retsy can use magic to defy what science believes impossible, instead, he pushes the frontiers of science itself directly! Obviously, this makes him a mad scientist... and although Professor Retz and Buster Leadfoot are brothers, there is no love between them.
Walligore is Wally's counterpart. This hunchbacked sleep-deprived weasel is Professor Retz' fearful assistant, who serves him loyally out of pure terror, but also shares a great interest in mad science.
The Eagle-Lion is Thoronraw's counterpart. But unlike the remarkable gryphon, this insane creation of Professor Retz was artificially created from big cat and eagle parts, and unnaturally reanimated, using sophisticated electrical contraptions as its jump-starter. Deemed the mad hare-scientist's greatest achievement, this potentially-dangerous but childlike creature shambles about, acting as a convenient and docile mode of transport.

Vision Originality
Technique ImpactHeya Dan, now that I got some time and determination to do a more in-depth review of the pics you submitted to the art jam, I'd figure I get right onto it! Now then...
Vision) Retsy hardly gets too much attention but it's a nice thought to warp Retsy's persona and his abilities from being a wizard, to a mad scientist to rival Dr. Frankenstein himself, the clothes and everyone's body postures really bring the scene on the right to life. Not to mention seeing "The Eagle Lion" looks like a mash up of various body parts with some cybernetic augments. Creepy as anything but it gets the job done.
Originality) I was kind of pondering what would an AU version of Retsy be and suddenly Im greeted to what would happen if a mad march hare mixed in with mad science. Although mad scientist characters had their hay-day in the late 30s to the 90s (I think even today too) it still works well for Retsy for some odd reason. I think turning Thoronraw from a mythical creature to a macabre parody of the species really catches my eye the most here.
Technique) I definitely like the use of the portal here, it's like Retsy and the others are observing that life on the alternative universe is as crazy as a monster mash!
Overall Impact) I'm giving this picture a 4 out of 5 stars here, while shy of a perfect score (and I rarely use the word perfect) my only gripe about the pic is that "Walligore" here, while you listed him as being a hunchback... I don't see any incarnation of his buldging back or anything ^^() He looks a bit perturbed of Retsy's next crazy thought; what if he can swap brains of two creatures?
This is a great pic for halloween dude! I think you did a wonderful job here ^^
